Who We Are

The Turner Institute of Ecoagriculture was founded by Ted Turner after a long and rich history focused on sustainable ranching and bison animal production, natural resource conservation, and imperiled species restoration.  The Institute is expanding on Mr. Turner’s focus on ranching in an economically sustainable and ecologically sensitive manner while promoting the conservation of native species and habitats.  The Institute is focused on:

  1. Livestock production and performance,
  2. Native species conservation, restoration and management, and
  3. Ecosystem and landscape studies

Our research is being made available to the public and freely shared through our website, publication of research outcomes in peer reviewed, open source scientific journals, book chapters, articles in popular and trade outlets, and presentations of research results at scientific meetings, universities, high schools and focus organizations.
